About Me
I am Megan Merhar, a costume designer and crafts sculptor who loves to solve problems. My time as a ballroom dancer taught me poise under pressure, the nuances of working collaboratively, and the importance of following through.

For the Arizona Opera, I created geometric thermoplastic animal masks for the children's chorus in Magic Flute, merging artistry with functionality. At Utah Festival Opera, I collaborated with my assistant to integrate over 800 LEDs into Joseph's Dreamcoat, resulting in a truly technicolor spectacle that left audiences gasping and with an unforgettable theater experience. My approach to design is rooted in adaptability—I do not rely solely on specific tools but instead innovative solutions to bring creative visions to life.

I thrive on challenges and when offered the opportunity to study in Zarate, Argentina, between high school and undergrad, I leaped at the chance. I emerged from the experience not only fluent in Spanish but as a person who can hit the ground running, ready to work hard, willing to adapt, and excited to engage in response to any new opportunity.
